| The city of Rexburg is the hub of commerce
for most communities in the Upper Snake River Valley of Southeastern
Idaho. It was incorporated in 1883 and is a growing, progressive city of
almost 16,000 people. Rexburg is well known for surviving the Teton Dam
Flood of 1976, BYU- Idaho, and for its International Folk Dance
Festival held each summer. Rexburg features recreation for every season.
Located at the heart of an attractive agricultural area, Rexburg is a
progressive business area with clean air, clean water and low crime.
Rexburg has family oriented neighborhoods and friendly community
cooperation. It is bordered by the South Fork and Henry's Fork of the
Snake River, the North and South Fork of the Teton River, and is within
an hour of Yellowstone National park, Jackson Hole, and Idaho's Famous
Craters of the Moon. |

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints has always had a great commitment to education. When its members
were forced from their homes and established communities in the eastern
United States, the desire for knowledge still burned strong. Following
their western exodus, numerous church academies were established in the
pioneering communities to provide the basics of education and spiritual
growth. Most of these have since been absorbed into their respective
state educational systems. Of the original academies, only Ricks College
and Brigham Young University remain as part of the Church Educational
System. |
